Our process is very simply and easy to follow. The process goes hand in hand with the seasons.
Spring
Bee Placement
Solitary bee cocoons are place in the cavities or at designated releasing sites for the Spring or summer, depending on bee species. The will hatch, mate, then in habitat the cavities for their nest then lay their eggs .(Fig 1.)
Pollination
Watch the bees! You can see the bees fly in and out of their cavities.
Summer
– Leaf cutter bees are released and repeat the nesting cycle. More pollination!
Fall
Hibernation. The bees have laid their eggs and now have closed the cavities. ( Fig.3.) In the late fall. The cocoons are collected and stored through the winter for controlled hibernation. This process is important to keep consistent temperature, promote nesting growth and optimal spring hatching. (Fig 4.)
Cleaning. Its important to clean the cavities to prevent the spread of diseases and parasitic mites that may be
